What it is
CJC-1295 is a lab-made peptide based on growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It was designed to last longer in the body than natural GHRH.
The version "with DAC" binds to a blood protein so it stays active for days, while the version "without DAC" (often called Mod GRF 1-29) is shorter-acting. Both aim to make the pituitary release more growth hormone.
US regulatory status
Not FDA-approved for any use. It was nominated for compounding and the nomination was withdrawn, so it is not an accepted bulk substance for pharmacy compounding.
What the research shows
Small early human studies in healthy adults (mid-2000s) showed CJC-1295 could raise growth hormone and IGF-1 levels for days. Commercial development stopped, and there are no large trials showing benefits for body composition, recovery or aging.

Questions to ask your provider
- What does the research really show about CJC-1295 in humans?
- Are there FDA-approved treatments for my goal that have stronger evidence?
- What are the risks of products labeled "research use only," and how would I know what is really in them?
