What it is
Kisspeptin is a natural hormone that sits at the top of the reproductive hormone chain. It tells the brain to release GnRH, which then drives LH and FSH.
Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest active form. Researchers use it to study puberty, fertility and testosterone and estrogen regulation.
US regulatory status
Not FDA-approved. The FDA lists kisspeptin-10 among bulk substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding (Category 2).
What the research shows
Human research studies show kisspeptin can raise LH and testosterone for a short time, and a related form has been tested to trigger egg maturation in IVF. These are early research uses under medical supervision, not established treatments.
